Royal Society of New Zealand awards Alastair Rayner two terms off school to study Unison Networks Smart Grid initiative.

"The New Zealand Science, Mathematics and Technology Teacher Fellowship would benefit his students at Iona College, too. "It puts a lot of theory into context and it is great to see what Unison is doing to make their network smarter and more reliable.""

"As part of the fellowship he will work on projects focussed on micro-distributed generation"
