"An award-winning radio communications company, which was placed in receivership in April, is now preparing to double its research team after investment from a top Israeli private equity group. Wellington's 4RF, which makes radio equipment for customers in more than 130 countries, said it had received "substantial investment" from Tel Aviv-based Fortissimo Capital. Chief executive Ian Troughton would not give details of the investment but said the new backers would provide the business with the capital it needed to perform"

"4RF said the deal would allow it to double the size of its 25-strong research and development team, as well as invest in sales and marketing. There were no plans to move staff away from the capital, Troughton said"
